春分，是中国传统二十四节气（ the 24 traditional Chinese solar terms）中的第四个节气。
双语品春分
Introduction
春分的“分”有两个含义，一个是“昼夜平分”，在春分这天，太阳直射赤道，昼夜等长。
After the equinox, the sun moves northwards, resulting in gradually longer day time in the Northern Hemisphere and longer night in the Southern Hemisphere.
春分过后，太阳直射点向北移动，导致北半球白昼逐渐变长，南半球的夜越来越长。
春分的另一个含义是 “季节平分”。古时以立春到立夏之间为春季，而春分日正处于两个节气之中，正好平分了春季。昼夜平分点的英文表达为 “Equinox[ˈekwɪnɑːks]”，所以" 春分"是 The Spring Equinox。自然" 秋分"就是The Autumn Equinox
春分日，昼夜平分。春分的英文是Spring Equinox，Equinox源自拉丁文，意思是昼夜平分点，可见古代东西方学者都观察到了这奇妙的一天。

四千年前，华夏先民就开始以春分竖蛋的方式庆贺春天的来临，“春分到，蛋儿俏”的说法流传至今。
一些人认为春分是玩竖蛋游戏的最佳时间，因为在这一天，地轴与地球饶太阳公转的轨道平面处于一种力的相对平衡状态，这使鸡蛋更容易直立。
The custom of making an egg stand to welcome spring equinox dates back to more than 4,000 years . It is still believed today that a standing egg on spring equinox can bring about a years worth of good fortune.
Some believe that the Spring Equinox is the best time to practice this game because on this day the axis of the earth is relatively balanced against the orbital plane of the earth's rotation around the sun, which makes it easier to erect an egg.

这是流行于长江下游南部地区的习俗。春分到来之际，农民会奖励糯米团给耕牛，表示感激。同时，人们也会给鸟儿准备供品，感谢它们带来农耕信号，请求它们在收获季不要啃食谷物。
This practice is popular in the southern area of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. As the Spring Equinox comes, farmers will reward cattle with sticky rice balls to express their gratefulness. Meanwhile, people will also make sacrifice to birds, to thank them for bringing signals for farm work and to ask them not to eat grains later in the year.

The vernal breeze in inner chamber rose last night;
I remembered my fair one was by riverside.

Thousands of miles to Southern shore where she'd abide.

The pathway ends where rise clouds white;
Spring reigns as far as clear stream goes.
I oft see falling blooms in flight;
With endless waves their fragrance flows,
The path leads to the door oft shut;
A study's shad'd by willow trees.
From dazzling sun is screened the hut;
Soft light is filtered by the breeze.
